New Call for Erasmus Mundus MARHABA Applications

The 3rd cohort of Erasmus Mundus MARHABA program launched today.

MARHABA, is an Erasmus Mundus Lot 3 project (Europe, Iran, Iraq and Yemen) led by the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain).

MARHABA includes these types of mobility according to the academic level of the candidates:

  1. Undergraduate

  2. Master

  3. Doctorate (PhD)

  4. Post-doctorate

Taking into account the above mentioned levels, candidates must meet the following specific requirements:

  1. Undergraduate candidates: they must have successfully completed at least one year of studies.

  2. Master candidates: they must have obtained a Bachelor degree.

  3. PhD candidates: they must have obtained a Master degree.

  4. PhD and Post-doctorate candidates: should contact their respective potential supervisors at the hosting institution before applying in order to get a preadmission letter. In several host institutions pre-admission/acceptance from a supervisor will be the main/priority condition for eligibility of the doctoral and post-doctoral candidates.

GRANT AMOUNTS:

MARHABA will cover travel and insurance costs of the beneficiaries and monthly

allowances whose amount will vary depending on their academic level:

€1,000 for Undergraduate and Master

€1,500 for Doctorate

€1,800 for Post-doctorate

MOBILITY DURATIONS:

Undergraduate: 6 and 10 months

Master: 10 months

Doctorate: 6 - 10 months

Post-doctorate: 6 months

All candidates may apply for a maximum of two host universities.

Candidates applying for BACHELOR:

  1. Passport copy.

  2. Curriculum Vitae (European CV – Europass -).

  3. Language certificate(s)

  4. Motivation Letter (maximum 2 pages)

  5. Bachelor Transcript of Records

  6. Exact name of the study programme you plan to do in the host university (Please, check the host university academic offer you apply for in order to include this information in the online application tool. Any application without this information will be automatically excluded).

Candidates applying for MASTER:

  1. Passport copy.

  2. Curriculum Vitae (European CV – Europass - ).

  3. Language certificate(s)

  4. Motivation Letter (maximum 2 pages)

  5. Bachelor Certificate (if the grantee does not have this certificate at the moment of submitting the application, he/she should submit a letter signed by the home university stating that he/she is currently enrolled and he/she will get the diploma by 1st July 2015).

  6. Bachelor Transcript of Records

  7. Master Transcript of Records (if applicable)

  8. Exact name of the study programme you plan to do in the host university

Candidates applying for DOCTORATE (PhD):

  1. Passport copy.

  2. Curriculum Vitae (European CV – Europass - ).

  6. Bachelor Transcript of Records

  7. Master Certificate (if the grantee does not have this certificate at the moment of submitting the application, he/she should submit a letter signed by the home university stating that he/she is currently enrolled and he/she will get the diploma by 1st July 2015).

  8. Master Transcript of Records

  9. Research proposal: title and short description (maximum 2 pages)

Candidates applying for POSTDOCTORATE:

  2. Curriculum Vitae (European CV – Europass - ).

  3. Language certificate(s)

  4. Motivation Letter (maximum 2 pages)

  5. PhD Certificate

  6. Thesis Summary (maximum 2 pages)

  7. Research proposal: title and short description (maximum 2 pages)

  8. A pre-admission letter by the host university (compulsory). Please, upload it in section “Other documents”.

Pre-selection criteria (to be applied by host universities during the pre-selection phase):

Academic records 55 Mark

Language skills 30 Mark

Academic suitability & relevance of the application 10 Mark

Motivation 5 Mark
